Artrepreneur members who wish to list their artwork for sale must submit original and limited edition pieces along with key details about each work, such as price, dimensions, and other relevant information. These submissions are reviewed by our curators to ensure they meet the quality and standards outlined in the Policies and Guidelines section of this Help Center. However, Pro Members have the additional option to list their artwork for sale in their Showrooms without prior approval. Regardless of membership type, all artists must complete the Sell Originals Submission Form to make their artwork available for purchase.
All transactions are managed directly by the artist. Artrepreneur does not participate in the sales process when you sell directly. This means you are solely responsible for handling payments, packaging, and shipping the artwork to the buyer in a timely manner. Artrepreneur's role is limited to providing a platform that connects buyers and sellers. We do not take any commission on sales.
Key Options for Sellers
Website URL: When submitting your artwork, you have the option to direct buyers to your personal or other external website to begin the sales process. To make this effective, you must provide a valid URL. Without a proper URL, potential buyers may be unable to complete the purchase.
Artwork Sale Type: Select one of the following options to classify the artwork’s availability:
Originals
Limited Editions
Open Editions
Not for Sale
At this time, only one sale type can be selected for each submission. It is recommended to choose the option most likely to attract buyers. Once buyers visit your site, they can view other available sale types and associated prices.
Editions: For original and limited edition works, you can offer up to 50 editions of each piece. The artwork detail page will display the total number of editions as well as the number currently available for purchase. If fewer than the total number of editions are available, you can specify how many remain for sale.
Sale Price: Set a sale price that aligns with the artwork’s type and market expectations. This price is a key factor for buyers and should reflect the value of the piece.
View in Showroom: Pro Members have the ability to showcase their artwork in their personal Showroom. By default, any artwork listed for sale will be displayed in the Showroom, provided one has been created. If you prefer to list an artwork for sale on Artrepreneur but do not want it to appear in your Showroom, you can deselect the "In Showroom" option.
Hide or Reveal Price: You have the choice to hide the sale price for specific artworks. To do this, uncheck the “Reveal Price” option in the submission form. When the price is hidden, potential buyers and collectors will see “Contact for Price” instead of the listed amount. However, a price must still be entered on the form even if it is not displayed to the public.
These guidelines and options ensure that artists have full control over their artwork’s presentation and sales process. By understanding these key details, you can maximize the visibility and potential sales of your work on Artrepreneur.
